Prison Island is one of London’s newest immersive experiences and comes highly recommended by us.  With 31 themed rooms full of physical and mental challenges, you’ll need teamwork, strategy, and quick thinking to complete as many as possible within the hour.

It’s quick paced and fun and ideal for families with teens, friends, or corporate groups.

If you’re after gruesome things to do in London, the London Dungeon is a must-visit.

This immersive theatre experience brings London’s dark history to life with live actors recounting terrifying tales from the past 1000 years.  Expect to meet some of London’s most infamous characters, including the Demon Barber and Jack the Ripper, as you explore the 14 themed rooms.

It’s one of the best activities in London for anyone who enjoys history and a good fright!

Based on the classic tv show, The Crystal Maze Live Experience invites you to tackle challenges in four themed zones – Industrial, Futuristic, Medieval and Aztec.  It’s 75 minutes of faced-paced fun that ends with the final challenge inside the Crystal Dome.

At the Paradox Museum, nothing is quite as it seems.  Optical illusions and mind-bending exhibits will test your perception of reality.  Paradox Museum is great fun for all ages who love wacky photo opportunities.

Inspired by the hit BBC series, Race across the World is like a giant treasure hunt across London.  You’ll solve clues, complete challenges and discover hidden corners of the city you may never have visited before.  It’s a great way to see a different side of the capital while testing your teamwork and problem-solving skills.  This one is still on our list to try and looks like a brilliant day out with friends or family.

This multi-sensory adventure transports you back to 1898, right into the middle of a Martian invasion in London.

With live actors, stunning sets, pyrotechnics and cutting-edge virtual reality technology, War of the Worlds is brought spectacularly to life.  Featuring 24 interactive scenes set to Jeff Wayne’s award-winning music, it will take you on a fantastic journey and our teens absolutely loved it.

The Traitors Live Experience is a real-life version of the popular tv show.  Use your best strategic skills to discover who’s a faithful and who is a traitor!  Will you be the last man standing?

If you remember the classic comedy show Fawlty Towers, you’ll love this immersive dining experience.  Meet Basil, Sybil and Manuel as you enjoy a 3-course meal and let the comedy unfold around you.

Expect chaos and laughter as  Manuel does his best to serve you and the other hotel guests.  Celebrating 50 years of the show and his English still hasn’t improved, but he has Basil Fawlty trying to keep everything in order.  What could possibly go wrong?

Step back into Dickensian England at the Great Christmas Feast, an immersive dining experience inspired by the classic, A Christmas Carol.

Whilst you enjoy a festive three-course festive meal, actors and musicians will bring the story of Scrooge to life right at your table.  It looks amazing, a perfect Christmas night out, but it’s definitely on the pricier side, so one to save for a special occasion.

Travel back in time to the ultimate 90s bar at Bunga 90.  Starting in an unsuspecting retro video shop, you’ll be transported to a lively bar with themed cocktails, throwback music, and video games.

Expect a great atmosphere, cocktails in a Kevin (Home Alone) or Britney jug, pop icons (we saw Michael Jackson!), and even a “toilet rave” every half hour.  You don’t have to remember the 90s to have as much fun as we did!

Calling all Abba fans!  Step  a Greek taverna to enjoy the taste of Mediterranean food and live performances to the sound of Abba’s greatest hits.  Sing, dance, and dine as your favourite songs come to life in this feel-good immersive theatre and dining experience in London.

There are several Cahoots bars across London and they are ideal for any adults who enjoy cocktails.  We tried Cahoots Underground, a 1940s themed cocktail bar set in a disused underground station in Soho.  The décor and attention to detail are brilliant, making it feel like you’ve stepped straight back into post-war London.  There’s a network of bars, so you have different themes and locations to choose from.

Don your orange jumpsuit and spend your evening behind bars as one of the inmates at the Aloctraz prison cocktail bar.  You’ll enjoy excellent cocktails, as long as you can sneak your own alcohol in past the warden!  Actors play the role of guards and will keep you in order, though not all play by the books!

Located in Marble Arch, Frameless is the largest multi-sensory experiences in the UK.  It was the first digital art exhibition we tried and we loved it.  Even the entrance is exciting.

Spread across 4 galleries, you can surround yourself with moving projections of masterpieces from some of the world’s most renowned artists.  It’s perfect for bringing art to life and seeing it a completely new way.

Thanks to innovative projection technology you can see Van Gogh’s art come alive on every floor, wall, and ceiling. Enjoy favourites such as the Starry Night, the Wheatfield, and Irises as they swirl around you.  As the exhibition has been on a world tour, we were lucky enough to see the art show in Bangkok.  So hurry now, whilst it’s still in London.

If you missed Abba in concert the first-time around, now’s your chance to see them.  Thanks to groundbreaking avatar technology, the band is back on stage.  It’s an amazing concert and hard to believe that the original 1970s superstars are not there in person.  You’ll be swaying like a Dancing Queen before you know it.  Dressing up Abba-style is optional!

One of the most unique shows in London is Witness for the Prosecution, a brilliant stage adaption of Agatha Christie’s classic courtroom drama.  What sets this production apart from other London theatre shows is its incredible setting – the historic courtroom inside London County Hall .  Yes, that right – the audience becomes part of the action.  At times, we were so close we could have touched the actors.

This gripping who-dunnit kept us guessing until the end, making it one of the best shows in London for teenagers and budding detectives alike!

Follow in Paddington’s pawprints on this delightful immersive family experience in London.

Based on the character of everyone’s favourite Peruvian bear, the adventure takes you through themed sets to join Paddington on his escapades.  It’s perfect for younger children and fans of the marmalade-loving bear.

Join Shrek and friends on an immersive walkthrough experience in the heart of London.  Located right by the London Eye, Shrek Adventure! Is a fun-filled, family attraction.  Featuring live actors, 4D effects and themed sets, it’s a magical journey through Far Far Away that younger kids will love.

Become a rock star for the day at the WeJam rockstar experience in Camden.

Spend 90 minutes trying different instruments, jamming together, and recording your own performance.  None of us are particularly musical, but that doesn’t matter, it’s set up so you can sound good straight away.  With a great mix of songs to suit every taste, it’s a fun activity for music-loving teens and adults alike.

Just outside London, the Harry Potter Warner Bros Studio Tour is a must for any Potterhead.
